Practice Standards

Terms of Service

Welcome to Downscale Derm, a clinical service of Black Health Intelligence Pty Limited (ACN 693 026 112 / ABN 23 693 026 112). By utilizing our telehealth services, you acknowledge and agree to the following clinical and practice terms.

1. Telehealth Scope & Limitations

Telehealth skin assessments have inherent limitations compared to in-person physical examinations. Our clinicians rely on the accuracy of your provided medical history and the quality of clinical photographs. We focus on medical skin concerns (acne, rosacea, pigmentation) and do not manage suspicious moles or potential skin cancers via telehealth.

2. Clinical Judgement & Prescribing

A consultation does not guarantee a prescription or a specific clinical outcome. Our Nurse Practitioners exercise independent clinical judgement and will only prescribe treatments (including compounded topicals) that are medically appropriate and safe for your condition after a synchronous consultation. We strictly adhere to TGA and AHPRA guidelines regarding regulated health services.

3. Synchronous Consultations

Downscale Derm does not provide "asynchronous" or "photo-only" prescription services. All patients must participate in a live video or telephone consultation with a prescriber to receive a diagnosis and management plan.

4. Emergency Situations

Downscale Derm is not an emergency service. In the event of acute symptoms, severe allergic reactions, or urgent medical concerns, you must call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department immediately.

5. Fees & Practice Policies

Consultation fees are payable at the time of booking. Cancellation and refund policies are managed through our Halaxy practice platform. All care is governed by the professional standards of Black Health Intelligence Pty Limited.

6. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the healthcare regulations and laws of Australia. By accessing this service, you agree to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
